Every piece contains a story, one of which is the design process and the other the story of the materials. I am strongly committed to using recycled wood, for its quality and for sustainability but also for more poetic reasons... adding a new chapter of life to beams and planks and other interesting objects I have found and collected.
It all starts with a dialogue about its use, the space it will inhabit, materials considered and possible ways of construction, leading to a series of sketches and the selection of one for its realization.
tend to use natural tints and water based varnish or wax for the finishes. Sometimes I work in collaboration with a blacksmith, if the design includes some metal parts for the structure, which opens up more possibilities. I make all the pieces personally and they are delivered signed, with a little history in pictures of the process.
