Each piece contains a story, partly because of the design process and partly because of the origin of the materials. I always prefer reclaimed wood, for its quality and my commitment to sustainability, but also for more poetic reasons; giving a new life to second-hand boards and beams, adding a new chapter to their existence.
Everything begins with a dialogue about its use, the space it is going to inhabit, materials and construction possibilities until some sketches are shaped and the subsequent choice of one of them for its realization.
I prefer to use natural dyes and water-based varnish or wax for finishing. I sometimes collaborate with a blacksmith, if the design includes a metallic structure, which expands the possibilities. I personally build each piece and it is delivered signed, with a small pictorial history.
